Can it really be only 30 days until our wedding?

In only a few short (30) days, I will officially become Sarah (MacKinsie) Sanford!

So, Jason has gone on his bachelor trip to Vegas, and my bachelorette trip to Truckee/Reno is next week. I can't wait. 5 days of relaxing with my girlfriends!

So in typical Sanford fashion, we are just now starting to look for a wedding ring for Jason. He found that he likes a Roger's Jewelers. We also found him a shirt for the wedding, even though it isn't exactly what he wanted, and it's white not ivory, but I told him this is what happens when you wait until 31 days before your wedding to look for a shirt (and no pants yet!) Will I ever get used to this?

Learn to Forgive and Set Yourself Free

Holding a grudge against someone who you feel has hurt you is a very human reaction, but anger and resentment can also be a heavy burden. Forgiveness can relieve your stress and allow you to move forward with your life.
Forgiving does not mean forgetting or condoning! Forgiveness is for the person who was perpetrated, not the perpetrator. It is saying, “I have already been offended against, I am going to let go of this so I don’t continue to be burdened by it.” You have already been tortured once, why continue letting this torture you by holding onto it with the erroneous belief that holding onto it is somehow hurting the other person.

88 days and counting

Today leaves 88 days until our wedding!!! I can't believe how quickly the 3 months has past since we've been engaged! Our wedding will be here before we know it! I can't wait to marry such a wonderful man!

So, our Engaged Encounter Retreat is done and was awesome! Really taught us a lot of great tools for communication, and decision-making, etc.

We are almost ready to send out our wedding invitiations, hopefully by the beginning of April.

With most of the big decisions done, we are now working on some details.

GIRLS IN MY CIRCLE

When I was little,
I used to believe in the concept of one best friend,
And then I started to become a woman.
And then I found out that if you allow your heart to open up,
God would show you the best in many friends.

One friend is needed when you're going through things with your man.
Another friend is needed when you're going through things with your mom.
Another will sit beside you in the bleachers as you delight in your children and their activities.
Another when you want to shop, share, heal, hurt, joke, or just be.
One friend will say, 'Let's cry together,'
Another , 'Let's fight together,'
Another , 'Let's walk away together.'

One friend will meet your spiritual need,
Another your shoe fetish,
Another your love for movies,
Another will be with you in your season of confusion,
Another will be your clarifier,
Another the wind beneath your wings.

But whatever their assignment in your life,
On whatever the occasion,
On whatever the day,
Or wherever you need them to meet you with their gym shoes on
and hair pulled back,
Or to hold you back from making a complete fool of yourself .
Those are your best friends.

It may all be wrapped up in one woman, But for many, it's wrapped up in several.
One from 7th grade,
One from high school,
Several from the college years,
A couple from old jobs,
On some days your mother,
On some days your neighbor,
On others, your sisters,
And on some days, your daughters.

So whether they've been a friend for 20 minutes or 20+ years,
Thanks for being in my circle.

The happiest recent event was: getting engaged, and planning our wedding
My current annoyance is: money, the lack there of!!! (I agree)
I have a hard time understanding: why people can't just get along!
There's this girl who I know: She's awesome!
